Bereavement Group

The group was set up in 1996 and we now have five visitors. Our visitors are trained to offer a listening ear and help to understand the stages of grief. The clergy pass a referral to the team after the funeral, and after a period of two weeks a letter is sent from the team to the next of kin, showing what we can offer. After a further four weeks a personal contact is made to see how things are and a visit can be arranged if required.

The team also organises bi-monthly teas at Christ the Vine on a Sunday afternoon. A visit to Frosts Garden Centre is held annually in the summer which is most enjoyable.

In November we hold our annual memorial service, which is much appreciated by all who attend.
