Wedding - Before
Information for those who have been married before and are now divorced.
The process:
i) Attend a wedding booking session, meet the minister, fill in an application form. You will not be able to complete your booking at this first visit. We will need to photocopy your Decree Absolute
ii) The minister will arrange to visit you for a detailed interview. This will take 1-2 hours and will give both you and the minister an opportunity to think and reflect on your experiences and your hopes for the future
iii) At the end of the interview the minister will tell you whether you can go ahead and book your wedding
iv) Return to a wedding booking session to book the date and pay your deposit.
It is possible that the minister may feel that it isn’t right for you to be married in one of our churches. If this is the case he or she will discuss alternatives with you.
